Employee Deletion via API

Problem:

There are instances where a New Hire Employee is POSTed to Dayforce and needs to be deleted due to various reasons (Employee No-Show, Integration Error etc.)

Currently, for data integrity and audit requirements, Dayforce does not have API support to Delete Employee records.

💡 Expert Tip:

Using the Employee API > PATCH Employee you can update the employees to removed to be deleted as ‘Terminated’ in the Employment Status.

Once updated, the Employee records needs to be added to the Erase Queue (Data Management Center available in Dayforce) by a Dayforce Admin.

A server-level job runs on a recurring cycle and permanently removes any employee records placed in the Erase Queue.
