We have explored creating individual reports based on the respective entities; however, this would require maintaining multiple reports and mapping each report to the corresponding employee attribute. We also understand that Dayforce provides a “Create Report from Topic”

Our understanding is that when any of these attributes change, Dayforce creates a new Work Assignment record with a new effective start date. However, we are observing a scenario where the effective date changes in the incoming full load file, but none of the actual work assignment attributes are modified. This happens because the source system includes additional work-assignment-related fields that change frequently, even though those fields are not maintained in Dayforce. In this scenario, should Dayforce still create a new Work Assignment row solely because the effective date changed? Or is there a recommended approach to handle this so that no new Work Assignment row is created when the

We've hit a few limitations and would appreciate your guidance on the recommended approach. What we're observing: 1. Multiple rows per candidateA report returns one row per combination of job requisition, application status, contact method and additional field. For example, a single candidate with two job requisitions returns 10 rows. This makes it difficult to reliably determine one current record for the candidate. 2. Status dates don't identify the latest statusThe effective date for application status appears to be stored at day level (start or end of day). When a candidate's status changes more than once on the same day, several statuses share the same date, and we can't tell which one is the current status. 3. Additional fields aren't identifiableIn reports, custom fi

The only resolution so far has been to raise a support ticket and have the job manually cancelled. The issue has occurred multiple times. I raised a couple of tickets in the past with without much progress, so I wanted to check whether anyone has experienced this issue before I re-raised it. Trying to bring in Employee's State Tax details that is USStateTaxes (like effective dates, tax name etc). I applied the required USStateTaxes Item from Data through Dayforce field. However, it does not yield any data output in destination file. and neither any information coming in data source file. So I am not able to assess the reason. Do i need to do anything additional to bring this data? or any other navigational path? or does this data not actually comes in Bulk Employee API? I am attaching relevant images. Please guide.

I have come across some TAFW End Point Issues that I'd like to discuss The TAFW GET endpoint doesn't return an XRefCode for user-entered records — anyone found a workaround or able to escalate to DF? We've found that the DF REST API GET /Employees/{xRefCode}/TimeAwayFromWork The endpoint returns an empty TAFWXRefCode for any TAFW record created manually in the UI (only records POST via API seem to get one populated if its left omitted or blank).  This makes it impossible for external systems to PATCH/update those records later since there's no identifier to reference, even though DF clearly assigns an internal ID to every TAFW record (as seen in reporting module) (it just doesn't get exposed in the response).  The integration we have been designing is to PATCH & POST new TAFW records based on external validations. In some cases it may update the status, or times, in other cases it will cancel a record and cr

I'm running into an issue with 834 layout (source: Bulk Benefits Ongoing Exports) I'm trying to use a conditional mapping with field "Data > EmployeeRecords > EmployeeElectionDetails > PlanXrefCode" - to pull the current elections and if they have a specific medical plan, it would result in a group # string. I cannot get the mapping to assign correctly. What am I doing wrong - should I be using the multi-carrier export source instead? Is it possible my current effective date filter is set up incorrectly? I'm using effective date instead of coverage or plan start date:

The JWT payload includes two fields indicating the valid timeframe: the current datetime and a maximum of one hour later, in line with Netsuite's limit. I need to know any other specific platforms also requiring this type of OAuth authorization when using RESTful services besides NetSuite/Oracle. Any help is greatly appreciated!

In practical terms, it means the database wasn’t upgraded correctly during deployment. When the schema and code get out of sync, integrations fail because the application looks for objects or columns that don’t yet exist in the DB. Resolution The fix is straightforward:Confirm DB & app version alignment.Reach out to Dayforce Support (or the CM team) and request that your client database be upgraded.Once the DB upgrade is complete, the schema will align with the deployed code, and the error should disappear. Key Takeaway If you encounter the Invalid column name 'MappingDefinitionId

But they hit a few roadblocks:Time Away fields weren’t showing up in Integration Studio.Developer permissions weren’t obvious.Their planned web hook approach didn’t surface the right fields. Product Guidance: Integration Studio pulls from the HCM Anywhere APIs. You could:Build a report and use it via the Analytics Data Connector API.Or, check if Time Away fields are already available through the APIs listed on the Dayforce Developer Network <link stripped through migration>. 👉 Has anyone here successfully pulled PTO/Time Away data into a downstream system? How did you approach it?

Their code looked like this: if is_material(find_single(contacttype="Business")) && emailadd ! nil { emailadd} else { string_concat(string_left(firstname,1),replace(lastname," ",""))}…but it didn’t work as expected. 💡 Expert Tip: When learning IDL, it often helps to build your logic in the front end first. Once it works, click View IDL to see how the system generates the expression. You can then tweak and expand that logic directly in IDL. 👉 Have you written similar conditional expressions? Do you usually start in the front end or go straight into IDL?Any favorite “gotchas” or shortcuts you’ve picked up along the way?

Cloudflare was blocking the request, even though the endpoint and payload were identical. 💡 Expert Tip This kind of mismatch often points to differences in headers, tokens, or request signatures between tools. Is there a super-secret place on the interwebs with Integration Studio resources for getting my dev team better upskilled. We have access to the DDN documentation, and the Dayforce Integration Manager Administrators Guide but can't find much else to help us. If you have had success pushing and pulling data via Integration Studio, please point me in the general direction of anything helpful. The general concept is to use the API calls to GET/POST via Integration Studio Thanks in advance,Tim Hartwigtimothy.hartwig@magnisol.com

This approach reduces the risk of account lockouts, failed executions, and intermittent connection errors. Why This MattersWhen multiple connectors share the same web service user account, several issues can arise:If a password is updated for one connector but not for another, the connector using the outdated password will repeatedly attempt to connect with invalid credentials. This can lock the shared web service user account, causing all connectors using that account to fail.If the connector is configured to automatically unlock after a
