Hi, I was going throigh the APIs and I was seeing if there was an API to get W-2 data for a year (for example, get the prior year W-2 amounts). I did not see anything but wanted to verify. I guess I could try to call the year end statement API (https://developers.dayforce.com/Build/API-Explorer/Employee-Statements/Year-End-Statements.aspx <link stripped through migration>) and get the PDFs are try to parse them. If we cannot get the W-2 data directly is this someone that is on the roadmap for the future? Similarly if I wanted to get the actual employee earnings and deductions from a committed payroll is that something on the roadmap? You can get the quick entires, time management data, payroll elections, etc. but not the actual committed earning and deduction amounts/hours.

Hi @Jeff Dooley, as far as I'm aware, there isn't currently an API that exposes W-2 field-level data (wages, taxes, etc.) directly. The Year-End Statements API can retrieve the employee's W-2 PDF, but parsing the PDF would be the only programmatic option today if you need those values. I'm not aware of either capability being on the public roadmap. However, there is an existing Product Ideas Portal request for exposing payroll results via API. I'd encourage you to review it and add your vote/comments to help increase its visibility: https://dayforceclients.ideas.aha.io/ideas/PAYNA-I-2062

If this is a critical business requirement, I'd also recommend discussing it with your Dayforce representative or submitting an enhancement request through Support.

    Thanks!
