Hi Community,

I am having trouble setting up a 'Build my own (outbound)' connector in Integration Studio with transmission method of 'Send as API Request'.

This is a token-based authentication and the third-party system provided the api collections. In the provided Get Token request, it uses a custom Key:value pair in the 'Header' instead of the usual username and password. For example, they have key 'custom_userID' for the username and another key 'custom_password' both sits in the header. The other thing is that the actual token which gets generated is also in a custom key named as 'custom_token' which also resides in the HEADER of the actual response.

Tried a couple of ways to configure using the username and password in Integration studio and none of them seems to work-oauth2,token-based, basic.

This works in Postman as the 'post-response' script in the Get Token request can be modified to pull the custom token in the header of the response, and store that in the collection variables to be use by the actual request. Is there a way to configure 'Build my own (outbound)' connector in integrations studio like postman? thanks in advance!

    Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, the use case you describe is, as per your tests, not supported by integration studio.

I would have suggested to try using the additional authentication parameters to pass the user/pwd, entering dummy value in the default fields, but, if that worked, Integration Studio would still be unable to get the token from the header.

    Regards,
