Hi all,

I am trying to pull a newly hired employee through my Integration Studio outbound integration[Event-Driven HR Changes (Outbound)].

The employee has a hire date of today, and I have selected the NewEmployee event type in the integration configuration. However, when I run the integration, this employee is not returned in the output. Other employee update events are coming through successfully, so the integration and transmission appear to be working.

Could you please confirm what specifically triggers the NewEmployee event in Dayforce? Also, can you advise whether a new hire with today’s Hire Date should trigger NewEmployee, or whether the event is only triggered when the employee record is first created/processed?

If there are any security, pay group, employee status, or event replay limitations that could prevent the employee from appearing, please let me know.

Thank you!

@Dhishand Dabypersand, I don't see a response and not sure you are still having an issue but thought I'd reach out to make sure.

To help determine why the employee is not being returned, I would recommend checking the following:

      • Verify the employee creation timelineConfirm when the employee record was created versus the employee's Hire Date.
      • The Event Driven HR Changes connector processes events generated by the Dayforce event framework, so understanding when the record was created can help determine whether a NewEmployee event should have been generated.
      • Review the integration event windowConfirm the integration's event retrieval settings (for example, whether events are being pulled since the last successful run or from a specific date range).
      • Verify that the employee creation/change falls within the configured event window.
      • Check the Integration LogReview the Integration Log and source data for the run in question.
      • This can help determine whether the employee event was retrieved by the connector and subsequently filtered out, or whether the event was never included in the source payload.
      • Validate any configured filtersReview integration-level filters, mapping filters, and Choose Record configurations that could exclude the employee from the output.
      • Confirm employee eligibilityVerify the employee has all required setup completed (for example, status, work assignment, organizational assignments, or any criteria referenced by integration filters).

    If possible, please provide:

    • Employee creation date/time
    • Employee Hire Date
    • Date/time of the integration run
    • A screenshot of the Event Driven HR Changes source configuration (specifically the selected event types and event retrieval settings)

With that information, we can better determine whether the issue is related to event generation, event retrieval, or downstream filtering within the integration.
