Hello community,

I have a question. We are working with one of our client's vendor for import file. They requested for PGP key to put the file in our dayforce server with .pgp extension as it is encrypted. Now I am downloading the file to test it but it shows encrypted data. How can I decrypt that file, anyone have any idea?

Hi Aman, Just to clarify, why does decryption needed? Is this for Integration Studio Connector or HR Import?

Basically, Vendor has put the file in our Dayforce stage SFTP with encryption (PGP extension). We have to test the file so When I downloaded it and opened it. Its in the below format. I hope you understood my question now.

    Hi Aman,

To view the contents of a PGP-encrypted file, you will need access to the corresponding private PGP key along with a PGP decryption tool (for example, Kleopatra).

However, if your goal is to import the file into Dayforce using one of the built-in tools or platforms, manual decryption may not be necessary, as the platform may be able to handle the decryption during processing.

Could you please provide a bit more detail about what you're trying to accomplish? Specifically, Could you please clarify what you're using to process the file? Are you processing it through the Connector, or are you using HR Import? This information will help us better understand your scenario and provide the most appropriate guidance.

    Thank you!
