Hello,

I'm making an Integration Studio outbound file with the "Segmented Character-Separated Values/Delimited Text File" output format. It has to be in this format because of some other considerations of file structure, but this option doesn't have an option to automatically output the header. This feed needs to have a header, but there are 96 total fields, so I'd really like to avoid having to create every single one. So, I tried to create one field with the entire header row as an expression, but I get the error: "InvalidMapperConfiguration: Value of field \"HeaderRow\" contains field delimiter. Consider specifying 'quote_character' to quote this value, or applying 'remove_delimiter' transformation in the schema metadata.". I checked the documentation but I can't find anything about this "quote_character", so how can I use that to let it allow me to include the delimiter character in an expression? Removing the delimiter is not an option. Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!

@Sage Konstanzer in case you did not get a resolution, I'm afraid I was directed by others that all header fields (over 500 in my case) need to be added separately. The silver lining is that you can copy the Header parent to make it easier to have all fields aligned and mapped correctly under each header.

There is a feature coming out to handle delimiters in the source file.

@Barbara Buchanan Yes, I ended up having to create them all, but thank you for the info. Hopefully they'll let us bypass the delimiter restriction in a future update.

Hey @Sage Konstanzer  what version of Dayforce are you on?

@Frank Ruffolo This was in a Config environment that's currently on 2025.2.1.9.1 though I don't know if it's been updated since I was working on this.
