Summary:

Client has a requirement to send SMS notifications to employees on both scheduled and unscheduled days, which we are trying to support via a report.

We imported a topic from Dayforce Marketplace called 'Employee Schedule with labor metric' which includes all the necessary columns for their reporting needs. However, this report only generates data for employees who are scheduled to work.

We attempted to create a custom report by joining the 'Employee Schedule (Primary)' table with the 'Employee' table using a LEFT join. Unfortunately, this approach still does not return records for employees on their unscheduled days.

We also tried the reverse setup, making 'Employee' the primary table and applying a LEFT join to the 'Employee Schedule' table, but this did not resolve the issue either.

We looked at the Get Schedules API and this has the functionality to pull out unscheduled employees but it does not have all the data points we need to provide. The other call out is that the sites need to be able to 'generate' the sms as soon as they have finished scheduling rather than have it as a time based trigger.
