💡 Tip of the Day: Watch for Delimiters in Segmented Delimited Outputs

If your Integration Studio run fails with an error like “InvalidMapperConfiguration: value contains field delimiter”, check your source data carefully.

What we’ve seen:

When using Segmented Delimited-Value (SDV) outputs, the integration will fail if:

• A data field contains the same character used as the delimiter (for example, a comma), and
• The output type does not support quoting or escaping that delimiter.

Best practice today:

• Avoid using delimiter characters in source fields mapped to SDV outputs, or
• Consider whether a standard CSV (with quoting support) is a better fit for your integration.

Enhancements to handle this more gracefully are being tracked, but for now, cleaning or standardizing source data is the safest workaround.
