We are working on an API with vendor and are having an issue with EmployeeManager.

Initially we just sent over the ManagerXrefcode -

Then we added the Effective Start -

Do we have to send all of these elements over for the employee to connect to the manager record?

Hey @Eddie Heinzelman​ I can't confirm unless I test (its been a while) but I think it's EffStart, ManagerXref only.... you could see more info on this item if you look at the individual Manager APIs below, but you can apply the info to the POST Employee API:
