What we covered in Session 2
Integration Studio Builder Series – IS: Data Structures and Core Mapping Concepts
This session of the Integration Studio Builder Series focused on the foundational concepts of data structures and core mapping in Integration Studio. Attendees explored how objects and arrays work, how data structure and context influence mapping, and how to configure headers, body records, and trailers for different integration formats.
Through hands-on demonstrations, the session also covered working with array parents, mapping and aggregation behavior, inbound data structures, date formatting and source schemas, and grouping records to transform flat source data into the nested structures required by Dayforce.
Practical examples highlighted common integration scenarios and considerations for designing mappings that align source and destination data effectively.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where the panel addressed real-world configuration questions and shared additional guidance and best practices.
