Session 11: Dayforce Studio & DPI Builder Series – Dayforce Studio: What's next?

Details

In this session, the Dayforce Studio team reviewed what’s next on the Studio roadmap, including forms and workflow, calculator experiences, AI-powered builder capabilities, custom code extensions, and the deployment lifecycle for Studio applications.

The team recapped how Dayforce Studio enables builders to capture new data, create new data objects and fields, apply custom logic, and build new user experiences that work with Dayforce workflows, reports, and integrations.

The session included a demo showing how partners and customers will be able to extend Dayforce logic using custom code in Visual Studio Code. The demo used a union wage scenario where a custom Studio app combined custom data, a Dayforce page, and a C# pay rule to apply the correct pay rate based on union, location, job assignment, and project conditions.

Also previewed the AI-powered Dayforce Studio Agent, which is designed to help builders interact with Studio using natural language instead of only REST APIs and JSON payloads. The demo showed how the agent can list objects, retrieve object details, and present Studio metadata in a more user-friendly interface.

The session closed with Q&A covering early adopter participation, Studio availability, audit tracking, effective dating, VS Code extension availability, AI agent use cases, entitlement hour approvals, and DPI certification requirements.
