Session 5: IS: Design Patterns - Webinar Replay!
Session 5: Dayforce Integration Studio Builder Series - IS: Design Patterns.
We’re excited to launch the Dayforce Integration Studio Builder Series — a collaborative initiative designed to bring together internal teams and partners to better leverage the full potential of the Dayforce platform.
What this series is about
This series focuses on showcasing real-world capabilities through practical, hands-on examples. Our goal is to help teams:
- Build with confidence using proven patterns
- Drive reuse and scale through shared solutions
-
Strengthen the developer community through collaboration and knowledge sharing
Through weekly sessions, deep dives, and interactive discussions, participants will gain actionable insights into how to apply these tools in real implementations—and contribute back to a growing ecosystem of shared expertise.
What we covered in Session 5
Thank you to everyone who joined our latest Integration Studio In-Product Learning: IS: Design Patterns session!
In this session, we continued building our Integration Studio use case and explored how to transform data structures to meet the needs of a target system.
The team walked through:
-
Understanding when to use different mapping patterns
-
Linked Maps — connecting related mapping logic across an integration
-
Flatten — simplifying nested arrays and transforming complex data structures
-
Group — organizing and combining records based on common data elements
-
How to choose the right mapping approach based on the source structure and desired output
Key takeaway: Understanding the structure of your source data and choosing the right mapping pattern are critical to building an integration that produces the desired output.
We’ll continue building on these concepts in the upcoming Builder Series sessions as we work toward completing the end-to-end connector.
Follow-Up & Topics We’ll Address
Based on your questions, we’ll continue to incorporate:
- Real-world use cases and scenarios
- Integration patterns and best practices
-
End-to-end examples showing how components connect
